Ken: Silent Partner, here, standing in for Louise. Before completing our Christmas visit with the Grandkids, Louise entertained the boys with some gymnastics without a safety net ....will she ever learn?? She asked me to thank you for all your nice comments on our son-in-law, John's Christmas photo, and to tell Petaqui @petaqui if the kids break it, it's on its way to him in Spain!
All in all we had a great time and the family will arrive down here tomorrow to look after Grandma. I am sure she will find a way to take pictures from a sitting position!!
Oh you did not! Ok, I see the supports on your arm. You didn't break your leg again did you? Sprain your ankle? Tweek out your knee? You're a hot mess.
P.S I see those gymnastic classes paid off for you. Heehee. But seriously Louise, I hope it's nothing too serious. Hugs to you, now get back in that kitchen!
oh! not again Louse. were you just looking for attention? Just sit back and be waited on now and relax after all the excitement. Hope you heal very quickly.
So sorry, Louise. Welcome to my world. It is possible, though frustrating, to run a 365 project fro a sitting position. Nevertheless, hope you are standing and mobile soon.
Great narrative Ken! Pretty funny, but I guess not for her! I do NOT believe you, Louise!!! You tripped over a tree stump? You didn't see it before you tried to show you gymnastics skill (?) for the grandkids? Geez Louise! You are definitely game for anything, any time. At least you are smiling, so it must not hurt THAT BAD -- at least now. Why not try to make '17 a "safety first" year!! Stay upright!! Hey, get well quick. I know it's really not funny....... But we know your history too!
Tripped over a tree stump?!.....and that's your story and you're sticking too it! Honestly Louise good thing you have the wonderful Ken there, wishing you a speedy recovery x
So pleased to see you Louise but not all trussed up and in a wheelchair!! What are you like? Keeping everything crossed for you making a very speedy recovery!! I know Ken will be looking after you - take care xxx
WHAAAAAT? Everytime I come back and check-in on you guys, Louise has just visited an emergency room, and is in either a hospital bed, on crutches or in a wheelchair! You are one, WILD woman, Louise! Well, I know this won't slow you down and you'll soon be posting pics from a new, low-angled photography project entitled "Wheelin' and Dealin'". :-) Feel better soon!
We have the saying : verstand komt met de jaren .
= +/- sensible will come by the years. But also : op de rand heb je het mooiste uitzicht = +/- living on the edge gives you the best excitements. You`ve you choice. ( kidding) Hope you are soon recovered and the old one again.
Now what are you doing back in the wheelchair Louise?!? Sorry to hear about your situation, and I hope you're up and around real soon. Let us know what the doc says about the shoulder. We have a get-together to address!
now, just as i was thinking i've not seen any posting from you, you mention me in your comment in a discussion, i click on here to find you've been posting and why have i not known or seen this at the time? because apparently i am not following you. now, it's not because i am a bad friend, it is because the site has some kind of glitches that makes people unfollow me or makes me unfollow people. as i have been indisposed the last 3 weeks or more (but still battling on with work) i have not noticed this glitch between your and my albums. frankly i don't know who else amongst my friends have been affected or what. but never mind that, i just clicked the follow button.
what i wanted to initially say was: do i need to get down there and guide you proprioceptionally or what? seems that wheelchair is so enamored of you! poor baby, i'm sure this hampered your many activities although i don't know why you prefer to do gymnastics first than make all those preps for the family. hay caramba! but seriously, i hope you heal fast and here i was all this holiday time regretting not being able to go out because it's cold outside and i am sick when we could've exchange sad stories whilst nursing our bodies. blah blah blah! i talk too much. hope you get better soon, dahling. my love to you and ken, and a most prosperous new year!
Oh my goodness, Louise!!! Darn those tree stumps!!! I just hate seeing you in that wheelchair all banged up...although the sheepish grin is pretty adorable. Sending hugs and good thoughts for a very quick recovery!!!
@Weezilou I wish I lived close enough to be a ministering angel. You know there are so many wings encircling you from around the world and the web. Just let yourself be coddled for a change.
@allie912 Those are the sweetest words, Allie. Thank you for that, and I'll hold that thought close as the year gets underway. Truly, I do feel loved by many as often this community freely shares their feelings. I'll get through this...just need to stay upright! I have faith...I'll be back around! ♥
@weezilou Geez! Writing left handed is easy for me!! (Course, I happen to be left handed! Oh well!) You are NOT getting a good start on 2017, Louise! Sure hoping you're back to your feisty and jovial self shortly -- and then stay that way. Yeah -- Level 10 pain is not fun!! At least you've kept your notable sense of humor! How's Ken doing with all that's going on?
@aglennc and only one finger at that! They removed that brace, so I can at least try my best! You know Ken...he's a super terrific care-giver! Doesn't complain much, either!
Good grief Louise! You must take better care of yourself, along with all those others you care for!! It sounds like you are recovering a bit already, but oh dear, you can't keep doing these things!! Wishing you a very very very speedy recovery!!!!
It's obvious I need to check on you more often! I'm a veteran of the "recovery after injuries" and I know it's not fun. Tell Ken to keep smiling and taking good care of you. I know he will! I'll keep you in my thoughts... Be well my friend, and be careful.
Though you mentioned a bit about this on the phone. Know positive thoughts and prayers are being sent your way as the recovery continues. Love and hugs to you!
@Weezilou Well! I've sure been off the radar for a long time. I missed you being out of commission. So glad it wasn't life threatening & that you are getting good medical attention. As Allison said, it's a shame we are not closer so we could help you. Take care. xoxoxo
@loey5150 It never struck me that "my old friends" would stumble across this and express concern! You and Allie @allie912, by your presence alone, would be so cheering to be with, I would feel renewed for sure! I'm in what a much older friend refers to as "the Patch Patch Patch" time of life, and so it is. I've come to refer to it all as "the new norm". As long as my sense of humor isn't shattered, I'll do fine! Thanks dear friend, for the kind words and sweet thoughts!

Happy New Year, dear Peggy!
@radiogirl Thank you Kathy! Wish received!!!
