Out of commission (Again) by Weezilou

Out of commission (Again)

Ken: Silent Partner, here, standing in for Louise. Before completing our Christmas visit with the Grandkids, Louise entertained the boys with some gymnastics without a safety net ....will she ever learn?? She asked me to thank you for all your nice comments on our son-in-law, John's Christmas photo, and to tell Petaqui @petaqui if the kids break it, it's on its way to him in Spain!

All in all we had a great time and the family will arrive down here tomorrow to look after Grandma. I am sure she will find a way to take pictures from a sitting position!!
Good grief, Ken!! Well, you can't keep a good woman down. Heal fast and well! She's a lucky girl :)
December 27th, 2016
Oh Louise!! Well, you are still smiling! Hoping you mend quickly!
December 27th, 2016

December 28th, 2016
I think its a grandma thing. I tried to do a cartwheel awhile back and did a face plant in the grass lol. Fun photo.
December 28th, 2016
Oh no...feel better soon.
December 28th, 2016
Oh my! So sorry to hear!
December 28th, 2016

December 28th, 2016
Oh no! Oh dear. Do hope you mend quickly so you can be back up and about, playing with the Grands. You know they love it when you do!
December 28th, 2016
The heart wants what the body just can't handle anymore. Young At Heart .... Bravo for the try :-)
December 28th, 2016
Oh you did not! Ok, I see the supports on your arm. You didn't break your leg again did you? Sprain your ankle? Tweek out your knee? You're a hot mess.
December 28th, 2016
P.S I see those gymnastic classes paid off for you. Heehee. But seriously Louise, I hope it's nothing too serious. Hugs to you, now get back in that kitchen!
December 28th, 2016

December 28th, 2016

In the wars again! I hope that you recover quickly and that you are able to go out and about with the family.
December 28th, 2016
Nooooo.., You look quite trussed up there. Hope the pain subsides and you heal up quickly.
December 28th, 2016
Oh dear.
December 28th, 2016
So sorry, Louise. Welcome to my world. It is possible, though frustrating, to run a 365 project fro a sitting position. Nevertheless, hope you are standing and mobile soon.
December 28th, 2016
Great narrative Ken! Pretty funny, but I guess not for her! I do NOT believe you, Louise!!! You tripped over a tree stump? You didn't see it before you tried to show you gymnastics skill (?) for the grandkids? Geez Louise! You are definitely game for anything, any time. At least you are smiling, so it must not hurt THAT BAD -- at least now. Why not try to make '17 a "safety first" year!! Stay upright!! Hey, get well quick. I know it's really not funny....... But we know your history too!
December 28th, 2016
Oh Louise! I hope you heal quickly. The look on your face tells it all! Thank you Ken for updating us in such an amusing manner.
December 28th, 2016
Tripped over a tree stump?!.....and that's your story and you're sticking too it! Honestly Louise good thing you have the wonderful Ken there, wishing you a speedy recovery x
December 28th, 2016
Hope you heal Quickly
December 28th, 2016

December 28th, 2016
Take good care & get well soon!
December 28th, 2016
Gymnastics without a safety net? Good lord. Yet she manages to look as cheerful and fun-loving as ever.
December 28th, 2016
Oh my, get better quick so you can hold a drink in that arm on New Years !!
December 28th, 2016
Dear Louise, I hope you'll recover soon! Take care of you and continue to smile... We cheer for you!
December 28th, 2016
Keep it up, you bad, bad grandma!
December 28th, 2016
WHAAAAAT? Everytime I come back and check-in on you guys, Louise has just visited an emergency room, and is in either a hospital bed, on crutches or in a wheelchair! You are one, WILD woman, Louise! Well, I know this won't slow you down and you'll soon be posting pics from a new, low-angled photography project entitled "Wheelin' and Dealin'". :-) Feel better soon!
December 28th, 2016
We have the saying : verstand komt met de jaren .
= +/- sensible will come by the years. But also : op de rand heb je het mooiste uitzicht = +/- living on the edge gives you the best excitements. You`ve you choice. ( kidding) Hope you are soon recovered and the old one again.
December 28th, 2016
Where there's a will, there's a way!! Hope all is ok - do love the cheeky grin Louise :)
December 28th, 2016

December 29th, 2016
Now what are you doing back in the wheelchair Louise?!? Sorry to hear about your situation, and I hope you're up and around real soon. Let us know what the doc says about the shoulder. We have a get-together to address!
December 31st, 2016
Happy New Yeat dear Louise & Ken.
December 31st, 2016
Oh I hope you mend quickly Louise...what's life without a bit of gymnastic fun...better without the mishaps off course.
January 1st, 2017
Oh deary dear. Good all mends quickly and that 2017 is a good year.
January 1st, 2017
now, just as i was thinking i've not seen any posting from you, you mention me in your comment in a discussion, i click on here to find you've been posting and why have i not known or seen this at the time? because apparently i am not following you. now, it's not because i am a bad friend, it is because the site has some kind of glitches that makes people unfollow me or makes me unfollow people. as i have been indisposed the last 3 weeks or more (but still battling on with work) i have not noticed this glitch between your and my albums. frankly i don't know who else amongst my friends have been affected or what. but never mind that, i just clicked the follow button.

what i wanted to initially say was: do i need to get down there and guide you proprioceptionally or what? seems that wheelchair is so enamored of you! poor baby, i'm sure this hampered your many activities although i don't know why you prefer to do gymnastics first than make all those preps for the family. hay caramba! but seriously, i hope you heal fast and here i was all this holiday time regretting not being able to go out because it's cold outside and i am sick when we could've exchange sad stories whilst nursing our bodies. blah blah blah! i talk too much. hope you get better soon, dahling. my love to you and ken, and a most prosperous new year!
January 2nd, 2017
A wheel chair too - I expect at an earlier age you were very good at gymnastics!

@kevin365 @lynnz @seattlite @lifepause @lifepause @dsp2 @allie912 @miata2u @alophoto @danette @jerome @lyndemc @lesip @joysfocus @chard @digitalrn @cruiser @salza @pcarlaw @jeneurell @ethelperry @aglennc @aglennc @jamibann @Cherrill @777margo @pamknowler @teiko @sailingmusic @frappa77 @blackmutts @Swazzette @pyrrhula @gilbertwood @bkbinthecity @colorfade @golftragic @stray_shooter @annied @eleanor @summerfield @maggiemae THANK YOU ALL for that large and lovely Get Well CARD! The day this was taken, I managed two short notes, typed with left hand…not much good! That night, I put off the pain med too long, and learned what “Pain Level 10” really is! Back to the hospital by ambulance, and never was “with it enough” to enjoy all those hunky paramedics and emergency room doctors I just know were there attending me! A missed opportunity to be sure… I’ve had MRI’s to reassess everything and I’ll get back on my feet again soon. I told Ashton I’d written to everyone that I got hurt while entertaining him and his brother with my gymnastics. He looked at me with a scowl and told me I wasn’t supposed to lie. Darned those judgmental-and literal kids! Wait until I tell him about Santa!

So nice to see some of you I haven't heard from in ages...Peggy, Sue, Andrea, Eleanor & Brooke!
January 3rd, 2017
Oh my goodness, Louise!!! Darn those tree stumps!!! I just hate seeing you in that wheelchair all banged up...although the sheepish grin is pretty adorable. Sending hugs and good thoughts for a very quick recovery!!!
January 3rd, 2017
@peggysirk yes... it's why you never see them on balance beams! If they'd only thought to give us more practical practice moves for later in life!

(and you'll believe ANYTHING if you believe I've EVER been on a balance beam in my life! )

Happy New Year, dear Peggy!
January 3rd, 2017
@Weezilou I wish I lived close enough to be a ministering angel. You know there are so many wings encircling you from around the world and the web. Just let yourself be coddled for a change.
January 3rd, 2017
@allie912 Those are the sweetest words, Allie. Thank you for that, and I'll hold that thought close as the year gets underway. Truly, I do feel loved by many as often this community freely shares their feelings. I'll get through this...just need to stay upright! I have faith...I'll be back around! ♥
January 3rd, 2017
@weezilou Geez! Writing left handed is easy for me!! (Course, I happen to be left handed! Oh well!) You are NOT getting a good start on 2017, Louise! Sure hoping you're back to your feisty and jovial self shortly -- and then stay that way. Yeah -- Level 10 pain is not fun!! At least you've kept your notable sense of humor! How's Ken doing with all that's going on?
January 3rd, 2017
Oh no Louise wishing you a speedy recovery!
January 3rd, 2017
@aglennc and only one finger at that! They removed that brace, so I can at least try my best! You know Ken...he's a super terrific care-giver! Doesn't complain much, either!

@radiogirl Thank you Kathy! Wish received!!!
January 3rd, 2017
Good grief Louise! You must take better care of yourself, along with all those others you care for!! It sounds like you are recovering a bit already, but oh dear, you can't keep doing these things!! Wishing you a very very very speedy recovery!!!!
January 3rd, 2017
Wow! That doesn't look good - hope you heal quickly!
January 3rd, 2017
I just hope you're continuing to get better! xx
January 3rd, 2017
Oh no, hope you're up to speed again soon!
January 3rd, 2017
Way to go! We like seeing Weezilou!
January 5th, 2017
Oh no, feel better soon!
January 7th, 2017
It's obvious I need to check on you more often! I'm a veteran of the "recovery after injuries" and I know it's not fun. Tell Ken to keep smiling and taking good care of you. I know he will! I'll keep you in my thoughts... Be well my friend, and be careful.
January 8th, 2017
Though you mentioned a bit about this on the phone. Know positive thoughts and prayers are being sent your way as the recovery continues. Love and hugs to you!
February 4th, 2017
@Weezilou Well! I've sure been off the radar for a long time. I missed you being out of commission. So glad it wasn't life threatening & that you are getting good medical attention. As Allison said, it's a shame we are not closer so we could help you. Take care. xoxoxo
April 20th, 2017
@loey5150 It never struck me that "my old friends" would stumble across this and express concern! You and Allie @allie912, by your presence alone, would be so cheering to be with, I would feel renewed for sure! I'm in what a much older friend refers to as "the Patch Patch Patch" time of life, and so it is. I've come to refer to it all as "the new norm". As long as my sense of humor isn't shattered, I'll do fine! Thanks dear friend, for the kind words and sweet thoughts!
