At the Ice Bar, She Looked Forward to Trying Her First Blue Flamingo

(Having Set the Stage, I thought, "Why not another go around?")

As an aside, it's suggested to people to do crosswords and puzzles to keep aging minds alert. Doing this was so akin to a puzzle, I thought, and I loved it! My body's falling apart piece by piece (ha!) but my mind is going to be sharp as a tack! ; )

Won't you now come join me and have a beverage? The treat's on me : )
Is a beer O.K. too?
Beautiful processing in this great pic.

I love it! Blue flamingo drinks, a hot chick hanging at the bar, a piano waiting to be played, and a delicious maraschino cherry. What's not to love? Loving Flamingo Friday!

@louannwarren Such high praise, Lou Ann...I've spent most of my life trying to find my niche! I'm inspired by so many others here on 365 (most of whom take part in the 5+2 selfies, so when this choice came up, I gave it a go this week...and had a great time building it! Again, so many thanks!

About the (Line) of trees. Round the orchards there are several kinds of trees. (I`ll do a conifer one to.) They are all trimmed this way as there has to be a balance between the shelter for wind and decrease of the sun lights. The line of trees are most planted next to a road or dike. The roots of the trees are a great help to prevent the wash out of the soil by rain.
This is typical for this part of the country as we have many orchards and old dikes.

@Weezilou Water attack us from three sides. From heaven above , from the rivers that comes from our back and the sea on front
February 4th, 2017
Wow...Terrific, fun image...well done :)
February 4th, 2017
It's quite beautiful, actually! So creative and wonderful composition. And at the same time, totally funny.
February 4th, 2017
@taffy You *know* I was entertaining myself all the while! Initially I was just going for the flamingo drink image, and then I thought I could run it through 5+2 again if I pretended I was back on a cruise (hahaha!) Ken was laughing all the time, too, as he was taking my picture. (Could it have been the sequined top over the pajama bottoms?)
February 4th, 2017
Fabulous, Louise! Brought a huge smile to my face! I would join you in a split second! Such fun! :-)
February 4th, 2017
@gaylewood Still a little room left at the table, but if more show up, we'll make room! (Can you tell I'm having a good time at this party I'm throwing?!) I love being surrounded by smiling people, so a huge thanks!
February 4th, 2017
Wow, good job.
February 4th, 2017
LOL Louise, this is a real ripper, love it. But do hope that flamingo behaves itself in your drink.
February 4th, 2017
Cool collage! :)
February 4th, 2017
That is utterly bonkers but I love it! A modern take on Alice in Wonderland to me......drink me......and you'll become a blue flamingo.....
February 4th, 2017
@casablanca Hysterically funny reply! OMG, I'd forgotten abut the flamingo croquet mallets! Ron @stray_shooter started the Flamingo-friday theme, and as I only have a limited number of them from zoo photos, I'm string to stretch my imagination! Thanks!
February 4th, 2017
@casablanca This also began with joining in for the 5=2 theme this week https://365project.org/tags/fiveplustwo-solarsystem (I so seldom take part in challenges, but I seem to be in it up to my knees this week!)
February 4th, 2017
I have absolutely no idea how on earth one would do these things, but I am enjoying the results! So far, all I do is point a camera and take a picture - editing is not in my skill set yet!! Enjoy yourself, it looks fun.
February 4th, 2017
@casablanca I joined back in January of 2010, and it's stunning how much I have learned from everyone here! My first photos didn't even hint at things to come! Keep pointing and shooting. First of all is about the picture!
February 4th, 2017
I look forward to learning some of your skill set - watch this space!!
February 4th, 2017
@casablanca Absolutely! It can be super simple...and then you throw away the rule book and go nuts! Haha!
February 4th, 2017
@Weezilou To make it more complicated, also the (salt)groundwater attact us from beneath .
February 4th, 2017
TERRIFIC :) Love your creation - and I'll have a champagne please!!
February 4th, 2017
@gilbertwood "Waiter! She'll have a champagne!" and while we wait, please join the group at the table. Thanks for the kind words, Denise!
February 4th, 2017
