Busy Bee ... by Weezilou

Busy Bee ...

The last few days Ken and I have been "on the go". Today I had two Dr visits, and a list of errands we saw to while out. All I captured today were flower photos, this at a nursery, and I think I need that type of lavender for the yard!

I wonder if that bee is as exhausted tonight as I am. I owe cards and email and comments, and i'm opting instead to get some rest. When I asked the doctor today why I wasn't as "perky" as I'd hoped to be by now, she said I'd had a major surgery that's going to take time to heal.

A year ago we'd planned a cruise to the Galapagos, leaving March 1st, but after I fell again after Christmas, I thought we should cancel it. Now, after surgery, it's even more apparent I'm not yet up to speed.

As a Great Aunt of my dad's was fond of saying, "It's not the growing old I mind, it's the damned disintegration"!
Nice capture! Hope you get your rest. Don't worry about us - we need you perky, but take your time. ;-)

I was so pleased to see this beautiful lavender! I hope you take the doctors advice and rest! It does all take time after surgery so patience is required! Big hug xx

Now, THAT is lavender, I love it and I'll be asking at my nursery if they carry it. So nice to just take a perfect photo while on the go. You can go on the cruise next year. They say the Galapagos tours are strenuous so I'm glad you decided not to go. Your body thanks you I'm sure.

This is fantastic viewed on black. Hope you feel perky again soon. My dad says getting old is not for the feint hearted. It's all very challenging!

Louise, I feel for you, and wish you the best recovery possible. It does take time, so patience is important. As for lavender, I planted at least 5 different types in our yard plus variots Salvia plants and much more. All bee, butterfly and bird friendly. Lavender makes great cuttings for your flower vases... and I have never seen so many types of bees. Love your photo. Fav

Great close up, Louise. Wish you'd send some of your bees down our way. We would love to have our back yard fruit trees pollinated...... Haven't had fruit on them for several years due to lack of pollination and bees.

What a bummer to miss out on your holiday Louise. I'm very, very sorry to hear that things are not going as well as they might. I'm sending virtual hugs. This is a lovely lavender shot, with a beaut sharp bee, great capture. I think your aunt's saying applies to me and many of my friends, hope you don't mind my repeating it.
