We met friends for brunch at our favorite restaurant this morning, and spent a couple hours more walking on the pier. It was a brilliantly, perfect day with a clear view up the coast to Long Beach and the Queen Mary docked there. My choices tonight were many, but I do admire these tanned-and-fit sand-volleyball players who were working out while "some of us" were enjoying breakfast!
I might add that it's a day like this that had turned this coastline in to an overpopulated and overcrowded place to live!
I know exactly where that is but I am not homesick for the HB. Ten years of summer traffic was enough for me in Surf City. Love your processing on this Louise!
@joysfocus Hence, my closing sentence! I wouldn't want to live in the thick of it, and most of the time it's just too hard to get to in spite of living not that far away!
Great shot of beach volleyball, Louise! Looks like a beautiful day and as much as I like to have a little summer color, some of these people have gone way too far! I want to be kissed by the sun, not fried! :)
What a wonderful capture of the volley ball - wow what suntans! I have to use factor 30 to stop my skin burning so I don't think this is a game for me! Lol! Love this colourful capture! I always wanted to visit this coastline as it is so beautiful but your comments about the traffic in that area puts me off! Fav!
@cjphoto Thanks Chris! I was only actually trying to catch the one toward the front, but good for you and your bright eyes! You're the only one who spotted that! Thanks!
@dsp2 ...and that was only on one side of the pier! There were just as many in the other direction, and they're nearly always in use! There are actually fewer people playing as there will be going into summer!
Wow! Cool shot, Louise! I agree with Peggy . . . that's so California! I've made about 10 trips to California and thoroughly enjoyed each trip. My nephew lives in the San Francisco area so that's our next California destination. :-)
This reminds me of Slim Aaron's work! California is so identifiable, the sand, palm trees, the architecture and oh those tan bodies. This is terrific! Fav!
