Easter Brunch by Weezilou

Easter Brunch

Ken and I prepared a brunch for one of our long-time friends and sat out back visiting and dining on six courses over a six-hour period. I loved the leisureliness of it all and quality time with our friend. I, too, was enjoying it so much, I forgot to take a photo of the popovers and the fruit salad!

In all, it was easy enough to set out again, perhaps for the neighbours in Lunenburg this summer!
This looks just scrumptious! Yum, yum!

Ooh this all looks yummy! Not sure what the dishes are except for the cheese of course. Lol! Sounds like the perfect Easter celebration! Fav!

The food looks really good but I think I would be asleep before the six hours finished!

You are a fabulous entertainer. I can't even imagine planning a six course meal...... Great shots, and your "courses" look delicious.

My goodness, what a lovely affair. There's no better time spent than time with an old friend. Everything looks delicious, how was the carrot cake?

@louannwarren Oh Lou Ann, that cake was so moist! It had crushed pineapple and grated coconut in it, and that single layer could have fed a crowd! Now I'm hoping it freezes well...

Yummo, I'm coming to your place next Easter. Best we could manage was hot-cross buns. This all looks totally delicious, I'm doing the Pavlov's dog thing.

I haven't made Hot-Cross Buns in years and actually wanted to do them this year, but I'm not supposed to eat yeasty bread yet. Maybe next year!

The menu was so tasty and actually quite easy, I may do a brunch repeat for the neighbours in our cul-de-sac before we leave for Lunenburg.

@golftragic I see I left you a reply above and forgot to tag you!

looks a beautiful spread Louise. I hope you were able to enjoy the food too. So nice to be able to really relax over a meal. We have had many meals out with our family while they are here but i am afraid they have often been rushed as they try to fit everything into a 2 week visit. Please, what are popovers?
