Ken and I prepared a brunch for one of our long-time friends and sat out back visiting and dining on six courses over a six-hour period. I loved the leisureliness of it all and quality time with our friend. I, too, was enjoying it so much, I forgot to take a photo of the popovers and the fruit salad!
In all, it was easy enough to set out again, perhaps for the neighbours in Lunenburg this summer!
@louannwarren Oh Lou Ann, that cake was so moist! It had crushed pineapple and grated coconut in it, and that single layer could have fed a crowd! Now I'm hoping it freezes well...
Yummo, I'm coming to your place next Easter. Best we could manage was hot-cross buns. This all looks totally delicious, I'm doing the Pavlov's dog thing.
looks a beautiful spread Louise. I hope you were able to enjoy the food too. So nice to be able to really relax over a meal. We have had many meals out with our family while they are here but i am afraid they have often been rushed as they try to fit everything into a 2 week visit. Please, what are popovers?

The menu was so tasty and actually quite easy, I may do a brunch repeat for the neighbours in our cul-de-sac before we leave for Lunenburg.
