I found some play time as it wasn't a terribly busy day. I've still managed to stack a pile of projects to work on and keep making more for myself. I love doing this sort of thing and just can't let it go!
@gardenfolk You are too good to me! I do know that every one of us could use the same tools and come away with something different! I see processed photos and for the life of me, I can't break them down! I did begin with PS after separating the fence/rose and the background. I then took it to another post processing site (and there are any number of them!) and added some textures... I altered the coloration, and there's nothing that's the same as the original photo (why, BTW, was nice enough as it was......but like a plastic surgery patient, it cried out to be tweaked!)
You have me singing the song now from Singin' in the Rain - a rose is a rose, a nose is a nose, a toes is a toes.......Moses supposes his toses are roses but Moses supposes erroneously......it actually looks like wallpaper to me.
@casablanca Oh thank you so much for the transference!!! The school here where the kids live did that musical year-before-last, and I loved that song! Funny, isn't it, how, like a yawn, we can spread it?!
Absolutely! I can just see Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor running rings around the poor elocution teacher! Makes me laugh every time. Must have been fun to see the kids do it!
Here on campus, the "Kids" are high school age, and one of them (the lead, actually) was heading to the east coast that fall to continue to study theater. Our son-in-law is the music director here at school, and he's sure that one has the chops to make it.
@casablanca This year, starting tonight for a 3-day run, the students are putting on the musical, "The Sleepy Chaperone". It's Parent's Weekend, and the 200+ students here come from around the world, so it will be fun to see them pull out all the stops! Every year we come for Dylan's birthday and stay through this event! LOTS about to happen!
Sounds brilliant! I have a Drama and Music degree myself, so I love cheering on the young ones. Wishing them all the best for their first night tonight!
@casablanca Awesome to know that about you! While I have zero dramatic ability, I love live performances and adore musicals! When we return to Lunenburg for the summer, the town is immersed in any number of musical events, and I *try* not to miss a thing! Makes for a VERY busy summer, but I feel *my role* is to be an appreciative & enthusiastic audience member...and I'm *very* good at that! ;-)
@gardenfolk re:tattoos, that does seem to be the case when I look around! Not for me... I hang my favorite art on the wall and can change it out at whim!
@pyrrhula From an incredibly talented and creative artist, I'm humbled by your praise...thank you Ferry! This is so simple by comparison to the work you put into your designs!
@koalagardens Thank you,,,with the assortment of :toys, any of us can do this!
@cjphoto Like playing with a kaleidoscope, you don't know where the patterns are going to land! That's the joy of it all!
