A Rose is a rose is a rose ... by Weezilou

A Rose is a rose is a rose ...

I found some play time as it wasn't a terribly busy day. I've still managed to stack a pile of projects to work on and keep making more for myself. I love doing this sort of thing and just can't let it go!
How much do I love this! It is pure poetry. Fav!

A rose by another other name … will have a hard job to look any better than this beautiful image.

but it's a lovelier rose with your magic touch on it, oui?
April 27th, 2017
What an imaginative background for that lovely rose. Very creative.

@allie912 ...it began as a blurred tree and morphed several times... I suppose it goes without saying!

Beautiful Louise! Love the processing!

You can spin straw into gold Louise! I must start using photo shop! :) I don't see a blurred tree...my goodness! You are a magician! Fav.

@gardenfolk You are too good to me! I do know that every one of us could use the same tools and come away with something different! I see processed photos and for the life of me, I can't break them down! I did begin with PS after separating the fence/rose and the background. I then took it to another post processing site (and there are any number of them!) and added some textures... I altered the coloration, and there's nothing that's the same as the original photo (why, BTW, was nice enough as it was......but like a plastic surgery patient, it cried out to be tweaked!)

Very nice job. Quite artistic. I haven't ventured over into that world yet myself. But I admire people like you who seem to have mastered it.

@Weezilou I hear the same thing happens with tattoos...after you get one, you can't stop. HA!HA! I am not even going to get one. :)

Beautiful.

I have to agree with @gardenfolk on your artistic sensibilities, this is art and so lovely. Fav!

You have me singing the song now from Singin' in the Rain - a rose is a rose, a nose is a nose, a toes is a toes.......Moses supposes his toses are roses but Moses supposes erroneously......it actually looks like wallpaper to me.

Lovely image, processing

@casablanca Oh thank you so much for the transference!!! The school here where the kids live did that musical year-before-last, and I loved that song! Funny, isn't it, how, like a yawn, we can spread it?!
April 27th, 2017
Absolutely! I can just see Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor running rings around the poor elocution teacher! Makes me laugh every time. Must have been fun to see the kids do it!

Here on campus, the "Kids" are high school age, and one of them (the lead, actually) was heading to the east coast that fall to continue to study theater. Our son-in-law is the music director here at school, and he's sure that one has the chops to make it.

@casablanca This year, starting tonight for a 3-day run, the students are putting on the musical, "The Sleepy Chaperone". It's Parent's Weekend, and the 200+ students here come from around the world, so it will be fun to see them pull out all the stops! Every year we come for Dylan's birthday and stay through this event! LOTS about to happen!
April 27th, 2017
Sounds brilliant! I have a Drama and Music degree myself, so I love cheering on the young ones. Wishing them all the best for their first night tonight!
April 27th, 2017
@casablanca Awesome to know that about you! While I have zero dramatic ability, I love live performances and adore musicals! When we return to Lunenburg for the summer, the town is immersed in any number of musical events, and I *try* not to miss a thing! Makes for a VERY busy summer, but I feel *my role* is to be an appreciative & enthusiastic audience member...and I'm *very* good at that! ;-)
April 27th, 2017
@gardenfolk re:tattoos, that does seem to be the case when I look around! Not for me... I hang my favorite art on the wall and can change it out at whim!
April 27th, 2017
You are essential! Without an audience, a show is a sad affair 🎭 And an enthusiastic audience is the very best kind 😀
