The kids moved to MA in August last year, and I was delighted to see the little animals they have around their property! The chipmunks are plentiful, so I was amazed to learn the grands had never set out seeds for them. They came along yesterday, so before dinner tonight, we set seeds out again. Sure enough, when supper was finished, we went back to look and there he was! I set a chair for them to sit quietly, and immediately he was back.
I can rest assured that "Feeding the Chipmunks" will now be a part of their daily activities. I did my job!
@joansmor We ARE really close! Ken used to make sales calls in Portland and I loved coming this way with him! LOVED Portland! Heather said the weather was all over the map, so I packed a couple pair of shorts... We're so NOT in SoCal anymore! Sweater & blanket weather, but a great spot of time to spend at the computer when not with the grands!
Such a wonderful experience for your grandchildren, Louise! The chipmunks might even come up and take a sunflower seed or peanut from their hands. I can't wait to see our chipmunks at the cottage in Canada. I really miss them when we're in Texas. :-)
