Next Project?

We have a flat roof off of a bedroom on the second story and for years I've been trying to figure out how to utilize that space! Structurally, an enclosed sun porch seems to be out of the question, but when I spotted this as we drove past, I had Ken turn around and go back for photos! The city had given us their okay to add a railing, but it never seemed "safe enough" or what I wanted. A friend of ours has this glass enclosure and it's wonderful, but I never thought of this possibility for us! THIS would be exactly what I want! Ken liked it to, and IF we do it, I'll share my next photo op!

An old house is always a work in progress!
What a spot to sit and enjoy the sunshine and scenery around you.

@carlasmith Much as I thought...in the morning hours...with coffee!

@kwind Thanks, Kim! It's like we've just seen plans for what we've been talking of doing!

@yurugabell We'd look down across the back yard and watch the horse carriages go by, sporting visitors around town!

@littleconnie Precisely! Thanks!

Don't tell me about old houses and work in progress. Our progress is very slow with the work we're doing in Scotland. We will eventually have a tiny balcony off our bedroom too. It won't be as sunny and bright as this one though. Gorgeous!
