There's little to bring Autumn to mind in Southern California, but I found this quote and decided to build around it, knowing that by the time we return to Nova Scotia, apples will be ripe and the leaves will be a tartan of orange, red and rust.
I'll continue to try to bring my summer photos up to date, photograph my little back yard muses ( a total now of at least 3 squirrels I can identify) and make time to "play" creatively.
Wonderful words Louise evoking the sense of autumn!! Fabulous memories and photos of last year in Nova Scotia and my first sighting of the stunning fall colours there. We are starting to see tiny touches of gold in the broadleaf trees here in the UK but the colour change has only just started. It is gold though and not the red of the maple trees of NS!! You are so lucky to be returning to NS when the colours will be in full bloom!! Fav!
What wonderful words shared here. They describe the changes of the seasons so well.
I loved your enthusiastic comment on my Moose picture. Sweet of you to highlight it for Pam K. too. Her comment was great too! I'll post a 'family photo' of the moose later in the month.
A great quote, and your processing is over the top, of course! I am grateful we have seasons where I live, and it's always a toss up as to which one is better. In the spring I say it's spring but then in the fall I just know fall is best. A big fav for this!
Apples are one of the things I love best about autumn! I'll be returning to Kent, UK in a few weeks time and it'll be the time for small crunchy and juicy coxes.
Fabulous quote and creative processing, Louise! Glad you are having time to play. In this last week, Fall has been in the air here. Chilly mornings and evenings with warm sunny days and breezes in between. Sophie wants to sunbathe or be snuggled. The squirrels are busy running around for last minute acorns and seeds. They are keeping Katniss busy running to and fro, along the fence. Life is moving forward into the next season. After the brutal summer, I am ready for the change! There is a dusting of snow in the Tahoe mountains too. September has been a busy month with our anniversary and my son's/ DIL's birthdays. Now, if Mother Nature can just be kinder with hurricane season in the east and the earthquakes in the west...hugs to you! When are you back to NS?
