Catalina Revisited ...

So many Toys! So little time!

I've been obsessed with the kaleidoscope app and love that, if you mix the colors of your ultimate photo, it will match the photo in coloration perfectly!

Here's another set of tiles from Catalina Island; there were many with animals, but I selected this with the fox, all island dwellers. This is a sample of the sort of cards I've been making the last couple of days... I'm a Modern-Day Dinosaur with no cell phone and I still like to write letters...

On black you can better see what the finished card looks like!
No cell phone... Wow. I wish I could get rid of mine. On the other hand, that would mean the end of my 365...

@mastermek I need "lots of space and big keys" to do my projects! Only a few months ago I got my first tablet (that I use to read the news and play with apps!) because the phone company offered it when we changed suppliers! I love all the technology, but when I leave the desk, I'm done with it...and I love real conversations with my friends! (I can't text, either, of course!) Thanks for the fave!

Beautiful Louise! You are making fabulous cards as usual! I love that you still like to write letters. As you know I seem to have lost the ability to write neatly as I use the PC to write my notes and letters. Lol! I do love to receive a letter in the post though - something exciting about it! Fav!

Its what interior decoration is all about now! Same colourings, different designs!

Lovely patterns and symmetry. I am like you with technology: no mobile, cannot text, a love-hate relationship with my iPad - but I do love my laptop.

Wonderful effect. Great patterns and symmetry.

A fabulous card. The kaleidoscope app is amazing in your creative hands. Oh those Catalina Island tiles! I love to receive cards in the mail, I certainly treasure the ones from you!

Pyrrhula I think you will love this Dutch artist as he made many kinds of symmetry drawings/grafics . http://www.mcescher.nl/galerij/terug-in-nederland

I like this a lot, the patterns are fabulous.

I'm going to have to give that a try - maybe with some squirrels.

@stray_shooter Oh, I have one with the squirrel, but I was trying to show some restraint!

@pyrrhula Oh Thank You for sharing that!!! I'm very aware of many of those pieces of art, but I didn't realize one person created them all! (It's been many many years since my art history classes; I may have known that at one time!) I've always loved the piece with two hands drawing, and the patterns are amazing; I've enjoyed them all through the years! His work would certainly be inspiring to try to emulate, but I think he's a mathematical person as well as an artist!
