Though we've finally reached Nova Scotia for the summer, we're already awaiting the arrival of the California Kids for a long visit. I'm sorting through the Costa Rica photos a bit at a time, and just had to post my #1 Bucket List Animal! We not only saw one, but 3 sloths and both the 3-toes AND 2-toed variety! One is active in the day...one at night, but I don't recall which. It made my day each time we saw and photographed one!

@louannwarren Our group watched and took photos for over a half hour and he was moving, but it was like watching water evaporate! We had all the time in the world to get many photos! @pamknowler The animal life was spectacular! I'll be working on those pictures for the rest of the summer! That's just what I'd like to do this evening, but travel-and-time-change has me exhausted at 9:30! @amyk It was my greatest hope to see and photograph a sloth! If it weren't for our guides, I'd absolutely never have spotted them! This, our 3rd, was in the "open"...if you can call a jungle canopy "open"! The others looked like grey wasp's nests high above!
