Today's look into my photos brought this surprise with it! I thought it was a leaf stuck to his snout until I enlarged closer!
In trying to make that croc stand out from the river bank, I realized what clever camouflage they have! Watch out for a flash of white teeth. and this is no place to start your butterfly collection!
(Ken and I spent our 49th anniversary on this river cruise in Costa Rica with the other photographers.)
At first: Congrats to you 49th anniversary. Wish you and Ken many more. What a nice celebrathing.
Great capture and pose of this impressing croc`s head. .
My what pearly teeth and a brave butterfly! Good thing it didn't fly into its mouth! Congratulations to you and Ken on your 49th wedding anniversary floating down the river together! What a wonderful trip full of adventure!
OMG, that butterfly was living on the edge. You were very game to get close to a croc, they scare me witless. Great shot though. Didn't realised that your CR trip was a celebration, 49 yrs, wow.
Can't imagine the croc wanted to eat the butterfly though - it wouldn't even make a decent snack! You really did have a brilliant holiday for your 49th, didn't you? How's your back doing now, hon?
@casablanca I doubt the croc would even feel that butterfly land! Just funny in the series of photos I shot from further away, I didn't realize at the time the butterfly was flitting around, and for one frame, landed there! As for my back, I'm taking it easy and not inviting any social life. This is the third morning I've awakened and am felling so much better! I see the doc next week. Thanks for the kind thoughts and for asking ♥
Love the bravado of that butterfly!
