Birth Announcement! Twins! by Weezilou

Birth Announcement! Twins!

When the backyard is now our outside world, it's a joy to find new changes almost daily. While I was on the phone talking with a friend in Lunenburg, Ken came inside to get my camera, and I knew immediately what he'd seen! I've seen how truly tiny the little bare hatchlings are, so I'm guessing this one may have been born on Easter since it's now getting pin feathers. Ken reports that he saw two, but for now we're satisfied with knowing they arrived!

We've watched another mama gathering webs and such to build a nest, so take a moment to marvel at how this has been engineered! It wasn't a spider that anchored that nest in so many places and gave all those little scraps "a bungee cord" to hold them together!
How fabulous to have this to monitor! Lovely image of this new life.
