Today was our Dylan's 8th birthday. The family came together in a seaside park for home-made cake, gifts and a light lunch before heading to the beach. Until sunset, the cousins had the beach to themselves, building a castle, digging a pool, playing tag, doing handstands and laughing hysterically as they draped themselves in sandy seaweed! What better could we adults wish for them than to remember these halcyon days and their carefree joys? Always a great time when you can celebrate your birthday with family and friends. Something we have always taken for granted but now await that time to happen again for us in Canada.
Now we have reach the age we only can watch and enjoy there childhood plays. And have our own memories of it.
