Fort St Marie de Grace (1632) ... LaHave, Nova Scotia

No longer does it seem possible to replicate the beautiful early-and-now-old-iconic photographs of yesteryear's Indians. They bear the names of Ellen and Carolyn and Alden and they have blue eyes and blonde hair. When I asked this lady of Mikmaq heritage if I might photograph her by the tepee, she said she'd like to set her baskets in the photo also. I was delighted with the image!

I knew enough people at this event, that I'll get their photos to them. Via my camera and photography, I love the niche I've made for myself here.
Really cool shot

Great idea to record this history Louise. I love the way you've processed this shot to look so old and dated in terms of colour, but clear in all detail.

@kerristephens @cathrinemitch @overalvandaan @aglennc @seattle At the risk of appearing to take you by the arm, I made a video of clips and sounds of the event. I wanted to share it and if you have 4+ minutes, I hope you might enjoy it http://365project.org/Weezilou/so-many-choices/2014-08-17 Thanks!

It looks as tho you've done a little time-travel and come back with images taken hundreds of years ago. This one came out wonderfully.
