Dear Three Hundred & Sixty-Five Friends ...

This is a bit off the grid, but it's a good example of how I wander away from the task at hand... I love to write & I write both snail mail & email rather than texting (as I have no cell phone). With about as many pictures as each of you has, most go unused unless I do something creative with them. This is even a stretch from what I typically do, putting a photo or two on this space and writing my letter within.

In this instance, I'd held the camera over the water at the dock, capturing the reflection of "Bluenose", written in gold on the side of the black ship. (It's visible in mirror image & of course disturbed by water movement). There was also some oil floating by. I separated the two, altered the blue coloration of the water & I've got "a sheet of writing paper".

I takes too long to find an e-card when I need one, and I find this more personal. Most of what I do is far more conventional looking, but this was one of today's photos, so I'm going with it! I'd love to know if you've done something like this or if you give it a go!
What a great idea! Sounds like a lot of fun! :D

@mozette Now this is almost spooky... I haven't heard from you in an age, and yet, while I was doing this, I thought, Lynda would enjoy doing this sort of thing! ...and here you are! (I love your new profile photo!)

@Weezilou How Twilight Zone is that???? :P

I've been so busy with working at the markets as a retailer and Mum and Dad's 45th Wedding Anniversary and Mum's 65th birthday and my 41st birthday (which is still a few weeks away, but we had a party last Saturday to celebrate it because nobody's to be around for it).

As for my profile photo, I'm a part of writing group line called 'Terrible Minds' by Chuck Wendig - he's a Canadian writer - and he write this particular blog. Well, one of his competitions was to get us to photograph ourselves in a position that we'd pose in to put on the back of a book... it's been fun taking photos of myself and then, I just relaxed and took this one - which turned out better than I thought. :D

What a great idea Louise. I shall have to consider changing what I do!

It turned out very well.

@ceilidh I'm not sure what you meant, "...consider changing what I do!" and I'm curious enough to ask! Do share!

Who`s telling you`re not creative and talented. Love it , fav. it and admire it. ( Great lines too.)

@pyrrhula @golftragic @digitalrn Thank you all! I didn't expect men to respond to what may be "a girlish past time", decorating and writing letters. I've sent out almost 150 "letters" in email this year alone...few people remark on them, but I enjoy making something different and attractive. As they say, "it's me..." and that's why I do it!

@Weezilou Which is precisely why it is special Louise, it's part of you and your style.

@Weezilou Nothing wrong with being in touch with your feminine side LOL

Louise! Tell Ken this is not a rabbit hole! In fact I have made 2 or three of this sort of thing since I have had a digital camera. It started with an "accidental" shot before I had actually composed and focused. I liked it so much, I softened and lightened the colours and used it for just one letter. I have a couple of others in file.
I wished you had put this post on the general theme page and seen what came out of the wood work of the 365 community. As for writing letters, I have very little energy and have to ration it. I envy you writing as you do.
