Fred was quite fascinated as I was handwriting notes! I didn't see him as Ken did, and Ken got out the camera and told me to smile...well...maybe "smirk"... However, I think Fred looks so cute, I had to share the moment!
I wrote a note to each student & the Maestro and put it with a 5 x 7 of my picture of Lunenburg with our house http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2014-10-17. It's my way of connecting with them as a photographer and giving them a souvenir/take-home gift from the luncheon. It never hurts to be friendly and pay it forward... (If only everyone in the world would do this one small thing, wouldn't that make "a world of difference"?!)
Louise, you are priceless, and amazing!! And, Fred is your furry soulmate!! I don't know how you could ever leave this guy behind!! And, your outfits match really nicely...;-)))
As far as handwritten notes, I so appreciate them to this day, and I never let a gift go without a personal thank you note! We have had a couple of weddings we attended and gave them generous gifts, and the bride and groom (yes, I think both should be responsible!) never bothered to send thank you notes. It just baffles me, and I lose respect for these young people.
well, hello there. sweet lady. fred photographs well, doesn't he? that's a wonderful 'gift' you did for your guests. hardly anybody writes thank-you notes anymore, unless they have had a big event. nice!
I so agree with you Louise. Not only that but I've noticed small courtesies disappearing; things like thank you notes; popping in to see an elderly neighbour; I could spend the rest of the day listing things! I love the reflection in your spectacles and the way Fred seems to be comforting you with his paw on your hand.
Wonderful capture Louise! Well done Ken for catching you and Fred! Thank you notes? Sadly a thing of the past I am afraid. Nowadays you are lucky to even get a short text message! One of my gripes especially after a wedding when you have taken special care over a gift and then you don't hear a word! Garrett! Got me started now! Love this shot of you and Fred!
Such a cute shot. Don't you worry about Fred when you are in CA.? I surely would. Oh, I do agree with you, Louise, on the personal notes. I have always been a prolific letter (and note) writer. Have discovered, however, that many of the current generation don't seem to understand that it is the "right" thing to do. We've given wedding and graduation gifts and never heard word back.......
