The citrus trees are all in bloom now and the air smells fabulous! Most blossoms have the start of a tiny little green Valencia orange inside, so that looks promising!
Lovely photo! I love citrus, especially lemons and limes. They come in handy for lemonade, guacamole and fish tacos! I am getting thirsty and hungry! 😊
@gardenfolk I like your food sense! I'm making guacamole in the morning (to go with cevichi I bought this afternoon)...we've also got an avocado tree and a lime tree. Actually, 14 fruit trees in total! Of course you can't give the stuff away because everyone has those trees as well! My new lemon tree is struggling since the 25-y-o one finally died, but I have friends who'll give me lemons! I suppose California isn't all that bad!
@Weezilou Growing up in the Palisades, we had two tangerine trees and two avocado trees that between the two of them, we had avocados year round. Boy, I wish I had those trees now! 14 fruit trees...WOW! If I lived closer, I would take some fruit! We have 2 lemon trees and had a lime tree until our neighbor killed it...but the 2 magnolias help make up for it! :)
What a sunny image. How lucky you are to be able to grow these things in your garden. We have have stayed southern Spain in orange and lemon blossom time - as you can imagine the smell is amazing!
My neighbor's citrus tree has been loaded with blossoms for weeks while mine had very few. But today, I was thrilled to see that mine had finally caught us. Hopefully, lots of fruit later.
The light on the flower is just gorgeous! I can imagine the perfume! It must be wonderful to sit in your garden with your trees and hummers and ducks and squirrels and cats! Heaven! Fav !
