I wasn't expecting THIS!

For the 17 years we've come to Nova Scotia, friends have said repeatedly we MUST get to Newfoundland! "Quaint" they called it... Colourful houses overlooking the harbour... Lots of Irish pubs with local music at night... So all the while I'm thinking "Little St. John's"... two... maybe three streets, and I asked Mike if they had any "trinket shops"...

A BIG city I didn't expect *at all*!!! This is just a fraction! I'm amazed!

So time to get up from the computer and go have a look! I'll be reporting back!

St John's has been surprising so as I expected a small town similar to Lunenburg and it is far bigger. Signal Hill was great both in day light and at night - fabulous views!! I love this shot Louise as I am trying to work out places we have driven today. Fav!
