The Provincial Flower of Newfoundland by Weezilou

The Provincial Flower of Newfoundland

Pam would agree, this has to be worked into the conversation somewhere! In the first hours on The Rock, it was puzzling that no one cuts the weeds that grow everywhere! Slowly...the realization sinks in... It's the only flower in bloom! Then the understanding deepens that they're big, bright and colourful and on the cold, windy days, they're a warming, welcome sight!

I doubt that the Province considers them their flower, but Pam, Ken and I did!
Beautiful capture!

They really do add to the scene. They seem to be too pretty to be an unruly Wildflower!

A great composition, and the blue and gold colours hit each other off. I am really enjoying your journey.

Looks like a beautiful place. Love those billowy clouds! The yellow dandelions are prolific and pretty, especially if that is the only flower in bloom.

Well it has been said that there is no such category as weed but each person decides what is weed and what is flower.

A weed is just a flower that grows where you don't want it to. These ones punctuate your leading lines nicely!

I love this image Louise! Fabulous shot with great leading line of dandelions! Lol! It was amazing to see these wonderful yellow flowers blooming all over the island! They are larger than ours in the UK and certainly brighten the scenery as it's the only flower we saw! I love that they seem to cultivate what I am trying to get rid of from my lawn at home! Huge fav!
