Ken called me to come see the bluejay fledgling in the yard...he wasn't "fledging" too well! I inched in for so close shots on his level, and he allowed my presence, so my next concern was that he was sick or hurt.
Happily it didn't seem to be the case, as, after I took several photos, he hopped off into the underbrush, and being of the hearty stock that bluejays are, I'm sure he'll share tales of his human encounter in the years to come!
