Ken and I Don't Look Upon "Beauty" in the Same Way
Me: I think an Iguana is just an amazing-looking creature, and look at the gorgeous texture and flecks of gem-toned color!
Ken: This is an animal that might look beautiful to another Iguana.
Ken's never been a fan of reptiles and had no desire to touch or feel them.
I say there's a reason people used to buy snake-skin belts and alligator hand-bags, not to mention boots and shoes; they feel amazing to the touch! I'm glad we no longer do that, but the animals themselves still have an extraordinary tactile quality. If you don't believe it, you probably never will, but to hold an iguana like this is a wonderfully unique experience!
I'm betting that before the week is out, I'll have a chance!
True...It does possess some beauty and unique qualities. You got a great shot of this fine fellow in all his glory! Just not exactly sure if I would want to hold one myself. I enjoy the furry kind of animals the most! :)

What a handsome guy!! I love it - love the colouring and textures - surely this qualifies for eofb challenge! I didnt know you were travelling about - Costa Rica indeed! A friend of mine went there, said it was fabulous especailly for the wildlife!
I agree with you about most reptiles Louise. I think this fellow is beautiful, but I can't do snakes. I can appreciate the beauty of their patterning but I don't like being too close to them!
So many people have the wrong impression of reptiles. I am with you Louise, the textures of some of them are really artistic. And they are not slimy as some think. I had a few pet snakes when I was younger. They make great pets.
I love holding snakes and lizards - they feel wonderful.
I agree his green colouring is outstanding.
