Ken and I spent most of the day at the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens far up in the hillside overlooking the city. It was more "natural" than manicured and we were nearly alone most of the day... until I asked Ken to stand alongside this Redwood (still "young" at about 35 years old) and I stretched out on the ground for my picture... There's another of those photographers corollaries...when in the strangest positions, someone is sure to come by... So two ladies with German accents saw me and one commented, "I've done that, too...but never in white slacks..."
(I hold the thought that she and I will never see one another again...) ...so, "Help...can you get me up now?"
Wonderful capture! You are so funny and entertaining in your commentaries, I can picture the situation clearly and would love to one day go on a photo shoot with you.
A wonderful shot - just love your pov! I would have loved to have seen you taking the shot! Very funny commentary Louise! So pleased I have found you and now I have met Ken too! Lol! Fav!
@chard Some might be dying of embarrassment, but I don't have the decency to even be a little bit ashamed... (Rather proud of my accomplishment at my age... :) Carpe Diem!
Oh Louise that is too much! Your courage is rewarded with an excellent shot. I love Ken's smile knowing that you are on the ground and in white pants no less. Priceless!!
