Little "Waldo" left Chicago 2 years ago and never looked back as he headed to the ocean! He could be a member of The Polar Bear Club as he resists getting out of the water, even as his lips are turning blue! And so it was, as the tripod went up, Waldo began to burrow into the sand, trying to reach water... Next shot, we split the families , trying to incorporate him into the photo, but in doing so, Ken and I disappeared off to the right of the frame... So this is another typical Ashton ... ahhh ... Waldo ... photo ...not easily found within the framework.
This is the last "family" photo for awhile ... a half hour later they were on the road heading home...
Love this! Grandson, Will, is our Waldo. I have more than a few family shots with a blank spot where Will 'was' just moments before the shutter clicked. :)
@panthora I had no idea there wasn't a pier along this coast that you hadn't photographed ;-) This is Huntington Beach pier...cross PCH on Main St... I think Elizabeth and I would happily meet you there (with hubbies) for Sunday brunch followed by photos...
@boxplayer Thanks, Ayla! I've always tried to get some of the pier into the photo from out on the beach, but this open shade and the gorgeous columns will be my go-to spot from here on out!
