Ken brought this to me from the garden yesterday, and it had opened so beautifully this morning! I never like to let a beautiful bloom go to waste, so got several photos and had some play with it again. I'm beginning to be able to bend the rules in the "how-to" video and I love making these! (Can you tell?)
This one is wonderful! Of course, the rose would be beautiful on its' own, but this is stunning. And if you're having fun composing these shots, that makes is so much better!
Simply fabulous! :) I really like the way you were able to choose where to texture - leaving the "integrity" of the rose intact. You're getting pretty good at this, Weezi!
Yep, can tell. This rose is glorious. We have two rose buses on our yard.... and one, also bright red, is actually named the "Linda Campbell". We gave one to Linda a couple years ago......
@voiceprintz That you should like this and make such a sweet comment means a great deal to me; thank you! The hard part?...to stop playing with these and work on "more important" things (read: not nearly as much fun!)
@Weezilou We got one of those unsolicited catalogs we all get. This one was from a rose growing place in Oregon. I had heard there was a rose by that name, so I emailed them and asked if they had it..... They did, and I bought two of them. Never got another catalog from them either...... Strange! Mine is overflowing in blooms right now. Linda says hers is too.
@danette@summerfield Shutterfly just offered free cards this past weekend...and I always avail myself of them. This will be waiting for the next offer... Thanks...I was pretty happy with it, too... (and I don't say that about all the efforts...)
