You See a Flower ... I See *Raindrops*!

Having left California in the midst of water-rationing because of a drought, the sight of rain on flowers and cobwebs was a joy to behold this afternoon. Though hardly enough to spoil the sunny afternoon, it was a pleasure to have something out of the ordinary (for me, anyway!) to photograph!

As you might imagine, we've been on overdrive, getting settled, and this town provides an endless array of activities. We'll be at the Farmer's Market at 8 tomorrow, stop for "beer & ice cream" at the grocery and prepare for friends to arrive to see Lunenburg with us over the next couple of days. I appreciate your steadfast friendship & the time it take to leave comments. I wish I could make a day with more hours in it! ♥

Gorgeous shot Louise! Did you ever get the selfie from Joe? I'd say we were a little on overdrive from the caffeine.
Fav! Miss you!

Exactly, and I always like how the droplets bring out the flower's freshness and beauty

@joysfocus That caffeine will get to you every time! Yes, LOVE the picture... Ask Joe to show you what I replied!

@digitalrn That's it Rick! And you can't just spritz a flower and get the same result! I was delighted to see *real rain* again!

Lovely picture. I love taking pictures of raindrops on flowers. Glad you could do that. We could use some rain here as well. It's been mostly hot and dry, so a gentle rain would be welcome. Enjoy your visitors over the next few days.

Lovely shot with the raindrops! How different Lunenburg is from California! You have the best of both worlds Louise!

so glad you got to "refresh" with some rain to welcome you! there's nothing like the feel and smell of rain after being in a dry spell.

Enjoy! We could use rain here! We are also in a drought. June is our rainy month (usually get 10") and we got 1.5". Dry, dry, dry.

@Weezilou I was not unfamiliar with Wallflowers but with this specimen . I can`t help they grow them . I like to find out the names.

@pyrrhula Hi Ferry! These are what we might consider very common "Geraniums". I'll try to find out a botanical name for you as they come in several fragrances & with different sized flowers. They are so easy to grow... just break off a branch and put it in the ground! We had these last year, set the pots in our basement and our neighbours put snow on them to keep the soil moist all winter. We arrived back and they're all in bloom and filled out! As I said, "EASY"!
