I know a few people in Nova Scotia who've never left the Maritimes ... and this would convince them, I know, that they haven't missed a thing! Here we're on final approach to the John Wayne Airport in Orange County (about 40 miles/65km) south of LAX in Los Angeles. It's about 3:30 and rush hour hasn't yet begun!
@thirdjoe Hi Joe! Joy threw out the welcome banner even before we left the 'burg, and I suggested "a gathering", even throwing in some additional people we'd like to see in SD. She had a smaller retreat in mind and doing some of the post processing techniques together that we've talked about, so it's "just us girls" on a 365 retreat! As I still would also love to see everyone (and Osia is in Hermosa Beach this weekend) I'm still open to the possibility of a mid-way meet-up Fri or Sat... We've really missed everyone! Now that I've rambled on, I hope you're serious about that get together! @panthora@stray_shooter
@salza 43 years we've been here, and yes, I have no idea where I am once I leave the neighbourhood! This is every bit as daunting as it looks (and it's far from the widest or most convoluted in other locations!)
@summerfield ...and it's not even Tilt-Shift! You, living in Toronto, probably don't find this as remarkable as, for instance, Nova @novab who's just back from Newfoundland! And to Richard @chard I have to reply in kind, "Why ARE we back?!" Actually , I have follow-up dr appts since I bailed out of a full PT regime. Also, our Ashley asked for our help with the boys while John goes on a "outward-bound" week with students to start the school year...faculty-student bonding time, camping, hiking and working together. We'll have "GranPapa-kiddos" bonding time...a nice reason to return home! (Back in NS on the 20th...)
@Weezilou - any view from above amazes me, even if they're just clouds. our cities seem to be organized looking from that view, whereas this is the view in manila http://365project.org/summerfield/365-still/2014-02-13
and all the people in those houses would go to that building on the upper left for relief from the scorching hot temps. disorganized view, but amazing nonetheless. i wish i was smart enough to learn the numbers and learn how to fly. but maybe it's not too late. no, it's too late. hahaha! i will see youin 2 weeks and change!♥
I await a RSVP
