It's Possible it *Could* Have Been ...

Again today, looking for imagery that I could visualize in Black and White, I was taken by this ornate fence from some of Lunenburg's very earliest days. I didn't know that I could obscure the brilliant red leaves of the Japanese Maple. After playing around with it, I first changed it to a Daguerreotype (but, though lovely, it contained traces of red) This tin-type border gave it just what I was looking for! In every detail, this could easily have been photographed in 1870 when tin types were in their heyday.
