Fabulous capture, you are so lucky your children are willing participants in your photography. I love the black and white treatment. Where is this jetty? Also how did the "Pretty Little Things" go down at Camera Club?
@elaine55 this jetty is on Lake Illawarra. Different from 'Hunting for rainbows'. That one was easy to find. This was a lot more difficult. Had seen it from the road. Took a bit of adventuring to find it :-)
'Pretty little things' didn't go down well with the judge. But I think it was more due to his ignorance of the subject. He awarded simple street signs with credits and merits but mine got nothing. I had submitted mine as a digital. However, on the night, he figured out what the subject was all about. My other "letters" shot "City" got a credit, to my surprise. I had decided to enter it at the last moment because my other chouse, open subject, got destroyed while mounting.
To be honest, I had not expected anything from City, but was hoping "Pretty little things" did well. But what can you do, a judges decison is his decision.
@abhijit Thanks for letting me know. I am finding it difficult to find anything to photograph for it at the moment but our competition is not for a while yet.
Really lovely. I am new to 365 (well a month and a half in …) and am seeking out a few people to follow who appear to know what they are doing (i.e. that I can learn from) and like what I have seen of yours so far :) (Forgive me, I haven't been through the whole 799 yet …) This is a wonderful shot. Love the uneven tone of the planks. Am intrigued now about "Pretty little things"?? Is this something you have posted earlier?
Excellent shot and skillfully processed particularly with respect to the light placement. Powerful composition and the inclusion of little boy makes it even better. Fav and follow.

I always think of you when I post something like this :-)
