I've lived here for 7.5 months now, and I still have to pinch myself every morning to make sure I'm not dreaming!
This is the 'classic' skyline shot of Vancouver, taken from one of the many vantage points along the Stanley Park seawall. It's an old image -- actually from my recce trip in 2009 to make sure this was where I wanted to live -- but it was invited to a stock photography site yesterday and I realised the original processing was a bit ropey, so I've re-worked it this evening.
The version on here is a crop from the full-width version which takes in all of Canada Place on the right, and spans around almost to the start of Stanley Park on the right.
The sky was quite remarkable, with the wispy clouds being lit both by the last of the sunlight, and by the city lights, which combined to turn them purple.
I'm a British software developer and photographer living in Vancouver, BC. I mainly photograph landscapes, cityscapes, night scenes, and water.

Unfortunately I wasn't familiar enough with the area at the time, and had parked in the wrong place -- I ended up having to run a long way from the car with all my gear + tripod to get this before the light went, and the best spot (which would have avoided the trees) was about another 5 minutes further on.
This location is on my list for a re-visit when we get a good sunset, though :)
Can't decided which part I like best - the sky or the reflections.
Vancouver does have a fantastic skyline. We were discussing in the office what a rubbish skyline Southampton has and how they should consider leaving the inukshuk there permanently.
