@pixiemac Thanks! I used three pieces of software to create this photo:
1. Hugin, which took the five individual photos from the camera and stitched them to form one panoramic photograph.
2. Adobe Camera Raw (a RAW processor effectively the same as Lightroom) to perform colour correction, noise reduction, sharpening, and other simple adjustments to the panoramic photo.
3. Adobe Photoshop, to perform some minor cloning work to remove 'seams' visible in the water due to the stitching. Although the stitching of a simple shot like this was pretty much perfect, the movement of waves between the individual shots means that some correction is often necessary in these areas.
These two (this and the animation) are the first shots I have gone back to view large over and over again - and I know I still haven't seen enough - I am awed by the natural beauty you have captured as well as the skills you have utilised to present each "shot". Thank you. Fav.
This is so beautiful and amazing! I can't stop saying "wow!" I saw the aurora once many years ago, but not in such spectacular color. However I never forgot how wonderful seeing it is. Thank you so much for the fav on my butterfly shot! I am honored you felt it worthy as I've admired your knowledge on so many discussions and your artistry with the camera.
