I picked it up at a book sale years ago when I had first started homeschooling my boys. I imagined hours of leisurely turning pages sounding out words and looking at pictures. Children of the computer age, that never came to pass for old dictionaries were left behind on the bookshelf when they discovered the hidden meanings of words in the exciting digital world. Today's word: chocolate circa 1939.
