Tenacity

Tucked away here and there next to the road a few pockets of dandelions are still blooming and setting on seed heads. Today was balmy for November, but the weatherman says in only three days the Arctic cold will return, plunging us to sub-zero (fahrenheit) temperatures in the evenings. Doubt these cheery, tenacious little flowers will survive this next bout of wintery cold, so I wanted one last look at their wonderful warm yellow before I have to say goodbye.
