Set up camera. Set timer. Run to get merry-go-round spinning. Jump on. Smile ... Sounds easy, right? Not! I am 10x older and 5x heavier than the last time I played on a merry-go-round. Huff and puff to get it going, jump on to have it sink to the ground and stop spinning. I got the smile part! Ended up sitting and pushing with my feet while trying not to bobble too much. Today a few sore muscles tell me I need to workout more. Darn it's hard getting old! (Thanks to Katie @archaeofrog and her "Boost Your Photography for the "how to".)
we're paired for "get pushed" this week... in perusing your albums, i noted that you don't seem to do much in the way of minimalism... so i was going to offer up that challenge, but i'm wondering if it's a bit too close to the simplicity challenge you're just finishing up this week... so as an alternative, perhaps you could try low key lighting... hopefully one of those will work for you... if not, let me know, and i will set something else!
April, I LOVE this!!!!! I like the motion so much, something that I wasn't able to achieve when I tried my self portraits! And I love the colors! Everything is so brown, except you! The blue stands out so well, and your clothes bring out your blue eyes!
