Lest I fall behind, here is an image I took while attempting my minimalism get-pushed challenge. I thought there was too much texture for minimalism. Had a root canal a few days ago, and thought I was going to be pain free. WRONG! Pain came roaring back tonight. Looks like it will be a long weekend.
Funky abstract! I like how the background bokeh seems to shimmer. Love your project! For Get Pushed, I'd like to give you one that is on my bucket list to explore because they are so cool: Star Trails. Are you game?
I do struggle with what is minimalist and what is not, but I do know I like this shot. Love the DOF, focus, and tones! I find it interesting and intriguing! As for the root canal, I hope when you read this things have settled down as I know how crippling tooth ache can be.
@kph129 ahhh...I wondered what I should do if I have uncooperative skies. It is also a full moon this week, but I read I can still do star trails with the full moon. I will have a try. I'm not sure about my software for processing, but am looking at StarStax. I do have my Christmas lights out, so an outdoor nighttime shot is a definite possibility.
@kph129 Oh dear. I have been trying to find stacking software for the star trails. My operating system needs upgraded to support StarStax, and I haven't found an alternative. Found some "actions" for Photoshop, but I only have PSElements and I'm not certain the "actions" work for it. If getting my computer up to speed to process the photos isn't too time consuming I will still attempt this, but it may have to go on my bucket list. Possible alternate plan ... son has a new computer which I am sure would run StarStax program ... perhaps I can appropriate some time and process on his computer.
Go ahead with the backup plan unless it's something you really want to pursue now. Good on you for doing the research - now you know what you need for the future!
