I like squirrels. I could spend endless hours watching their antics. Unfortunately, there are no squirrels in my yard, or around the fields and pastures that surround my home. So, when I visit my parents, I love watching the family that lives in their yard. Though there is a squirrel feeder in one of the trees, it's been empty for a few weeks, so they have begun to raid the bird feeder that hangs by the window. Little deters them, and today when I visited mom had given up trying to chase them away. So, this one was greedily stuffing as much bird seed into his mouth as he could. I must remember to bring squirrel food on my next visit.
