Tried taking a walk today. It was exhausting! The snow is just deep enough and just crusty enough to make every step an effort. Piper found it particularly difficult with her short legs, often falling through the crust and having to break her way out. Here she found a moment of easy walking atop a drift.
That is so brave of you April, I don't think I can live in a place where it gets that cold, let alone go out for a walk! This is a brilliant shot of Piper.
@happypat Thank you ... I would love for this to be a beach, but the background is cornstalks peeking above the snow. Sometimes in winter I can go out and do an icm with the snow and cornstalks that almost takes me to a beach, at least in my imagination.
