Sunrise found us at Sprague Lake, but instead of setting up for great reflections I found myself trying to avoid a very irritated mother elk. She was irritated with a young male, and I was in the middle. She was relentless and it didn't seem to matter how much I retreated, she was always close behind. I finally gave up on sunrise reflections and wandered to another part of the lake where there were some baby ducks. Much less threatening!
