distorted guard house by aecasey

distorted guard house

I'm not creative enough to find a way to make a rectangular box of a building look interesting, so I just used the corner with the fish eye. I wanted this guard house because just outside its door is where Crazy Horse was killed in September of 1877. Thinking his surrender would give him an Indian Agency on Beaver Creek and save the Sioux from a brutal winter with little food and fear of military attacks, Crazy Horse came into the fort with almost 900 followers. A feared chief and warrior who was believed to be instrumental to the defeat of General Custer at Little Big Horn, when he seemed to change his mind and made a break for the door after entering the guard house he was killed after being stabbed by a bayonet. His body was later taken by his parents, and his burial place is unknown.
Selling your self short on creativity it seems! Cool shot

Gerasimos Georg. @gerry13 Another for the challenge. It's a bit odd, but I like seeing fish eye distortions every now and then.

Most unique, sad history that is associated with this building.

@aecasey fisheye seems to work so good on architecture photography,at least it definitely does when you are behind the camera

The fish eye lens really does a good job with these architectural shots! Beautiful photo to go with your historical narrative.
