I went to the lek with a specific image I wanted to bring home ... face on, head down, wings spread and tail up dancing. I love this photo! Though he was so into his dance his tail isn't as showy as I'd hoped. Still, you can see his violet air sac and he's got his yellow crown feathers lifted. We even had eye contact, though he didn't know it. Still ... it's missing that beautifully spread tail, which you can see in my alternate shot in "just one more:" https://365project.org/aecasey/just-one-more/2017-04-15
