You've seen how the males look when they get ready for their dance moves. Here is one sitting quietly toward the end of the morning. He was waiting to see if another male would come over and engage in some posturing. After nearly three hours of dancing, activity quieted and shortly after the grouse left the lek. Since you can't leave the blind until the birds are gone I must admit I was ready for them to get on with other activities.
