solar practice

The total solar eclipse is now just days away. Despite having bought my filters and such months ago, I have yet to practice, and there's so much to learn! This was handheld, and I was quite pleased with focus and clarity. See the sunspot? Also, I've never bracketed shots, but they say to bracket during totality, so need to practice that. I also learned that with my back button focus I can't auto focus in live view, so there's a few more camera adjustments I need to make. Need to get in some serious practice ... tomorrow...

Liz @lizhammond You are right. I am anticipating the eclipse, but have yet to practice with my camera and filter. I gave it a quick try today. More practice tomorrow.

Please only use live view to shoot the sun if you have the correct filters on your camera, otherwise you could do some serious damage to your sensor.
