photogq challenged me "to take a picture of something touristy in your town or city." I live in the country, but thought the local town where I shop would suffice for the challenge locale. This is a shot of the Oregon Trail running through the Scotts Bluff National Monument. You can go up on top of the Bluff, which provides a panoramic view of the North Platte River Valley. I thought the prairie schooner with the oxen gave more of a feel to the history of the trail, though.
photogq @gq I did get your challenge, and have been thinking about where to go for a tourist attraction. I travel to Scottsbluff every week for my groceries, so I started there. I travel different directions in the next day or two, so we'll see if I stop at other area attractions.
