Liana challenged me to try "a still life of 3 objects of something important to you." I was at my parents' and saw dad's dime bank. I love this bank! (It is permanently at $9.90 because one more dime flips it to $0.00.) Then I remembered mom's little wooden peach, with it's little hidden tea set. Oh yes! Another of my childhood favorites. Love those dainty wooden pieces. So, what for #3 .. the old metronome. I started learning piano when I was 5, and I still have a metronome sitting on my piano because metronomes are just fun. So, 1, 2, 3 ... get-pushed still life.
Liana @kiwinanna It's been a roller coaster week after saying goodbye to Dad. Found three things important to me while visiting mom. Didn't have much time for setting up a composition, but gave it a go.
Hi April, i"m your challenge partner this week, I see you like to use your 50mm, your crystal ball and also portraits of little ones. My challenge to you is to take a self-portrait or a portrait of one of the grand-kids, or other relatives using your 50mm, and the crystal ball. Make your focus on the refraction of the ball. Then flip the image so that the portrait in the ball is upside up. I hope you like your challenge.
