Documentary shot. Beautiful spring day. Upper 50's, no wind, sunny skies. It's hard to believe what the rest of the weeks holds, but at least we have nice weather to get ready. Had to include the new building there on the left. Wish we had it down where the cows and calves are...the whole herd would fit in there! Best we can do is tuck them in the pens surrounded by windbreaks and be vigilant in trying to get those wet little newborns somewhere dry.

It's a good thing they are tough creatures and most moms are very protective. They will get them licked off quick and get them up for a drink in double quick time as well.
@ludwigsdiana Thank you. We live in the northwest Nebraska Panhandle up on the very flat and expansive high plains. Can see for miles and miles and miles .... lots of sky...
