In our bookclub reading Patterson talks about the creative process in making photographs as involving three steps. The first is conceiving a theme, and for this I chose the mundane book challenge. Second is finding a subject. This little book is handmade. The paper cover was home made from paper pulp, the little bead was formed from polymer clay, and the pages folded so that when opened it forms a star. Finally in the creative process is conceiving how to organize the subject matter. Here I tried several views, angles, and light in presenting this little book. In the end I did not feel I really caught the essence of this little book, but I enjoyed the process.
Excellent choice for a collage, since each image is so interesting and dynamic. I think I like the top right one the best for really conveying what is unique about the book from an outsider's perspective.
You really did great with each step of this final product(photograph). I really liked this just with the feel, lighting and composition, but when I learned the complete thought process behind it, now I like it even more. Glad I voted for this. :-)
