Water Lily

Or is it a Lotus flower? Hmmm... I can never remember the difference.
We visited the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens today, expecting to spend just a bit of time in a small spot looking at a few nice plants. Actually, it was incredible and one of the nicest gardens I have ever seen and the locale right on the cliffs of the magnificent CA coast was breathtaking. We could have spent waaaay more time than we did!

The lotus has a central "showerhead" that holds the seeds. This is so beautiful
