Just curious. Does anyone ever actually USE these things, or are they really only good for the occasional 365 shot when nothing else comes to mind? ;-)
Great 'fluid' shot - a different approach - nice! When I was a graphic designer I used them often for textural effects especially when used on textured paper before hitting the computer.
Ooh aaah.... what a super photo! Gosh you have a knack for creating such funky images. I know I get very excited when my little girl gets new pencils/crayons/chalk etc.... she isn't allowed to use it until I have taken a photo! And I may be guilty of buying things for her, knowing they will also make a good photo :)
I love love love this! The color is so vibrant. ...and yes in my house we have several boxes of crayons and from our daughter, to our grandkids to me use them. I still like to color on occasion.
I would guess they are not used as frequently as years past, but I can tell you, my Grnad-daughter still pulls the bucket of crayons out of the closet to become creative.
Just thinking I hadn't favved much this week except for Jenn's pic and now I have to say, this is one of the best blurry shots - creates a magical feel that I wasn't expecting from the subject matter - great colours, of course.
Yes! To the photo - so fun - and to the question. Nothing better than a fresh box of crayons. Love the smell and coloring with those fresh points. (My grandkids don't really get it. They prefer markers, but I keep buying them crayons hoping to convert them at some point.)
LOL we have an entire Rubbermaid box FULL of half-used and broken crayons (my kids are 6 and 3), but those just aren't as photogenic. I have a fresh box that I won't let my kids touch just to use them as props . . . is that totally wrong of me? Love how you've placed them - very cool pattern!
Great shot and funny comments!! There have been a lot of shots of crayons on here, myself included! Lol Guess the bright new ones are prettier than the broken, wore down and ripped wrapper ones. Lol
Gorgeous shot and crazy good editing!! I used mine for color matching purposes when selling quilt fabric on ebay. Since the colors varied so much from one monitor to the next I could pick a crayon that closely matched the fabric to give buyers an accurate idea of the color! My box of 64 still looks like new! :)
I use them pretty much every day.. Work in a preschool and have a 6 year old. cant help but use them. At school the kids put paper over a old food warming tray , and then use crayons to "paint" the heat is enough that it melts the crayon. the art work they come up with is awesome!
wow, that is so cool!! I don't know how you did it, but it's great. Fav! Yes, we use crayons around here sometimes. Although the kids are getting bigger and not using them as much anymore. :(
