Went on a hunt for Bald Eagles today and found a couple of adults and several immature birds--woo hoo! They were being quite active this afternoon, perhaps the parents teaching their young a few new tricks? One adult spent a lot of time in the air hauling this fish around for some reason with a young one always hot on its tail. All were very far away (this is a super crop, hence the not altogether sharp image) but they were just SO compelling to watch--a truly magnificent bird to behold!
Oh and also, love this piccie right here. I've tried to capture some birds on campus during one of my lunch breaks. Yeah, didn't go down to well, I ended up just making a collage of a bunch of mini pics (somewhere in June I think) I was wondering if you've got any tips for me?
Simply magnificent, Jenn, an incredible capture. What an amazing treat to behold. (And please, your not-altogether-sharp beats out my very-sharp any day.)
@marinda Oh, if only I could be consistent enough to give out tips. Luck, my friend, plays a very large role! Start with a long lens, fast focus, high shutter speed and lots and lots o' patience :-D
