No time for a shot tonight, so edited one from a few months back instead. I may revisit this another time as the background is still a bit busy, but I gotta try getting to bed before midnight for a change so this will do for now. ;-)
this is just awesome! Like he's posing for a portrait with a cheesy smile...and I do believe his pupil is dilated a bit! bed before midnight...hmmm...what a concept - whoops! I missed out on that, but I'd better get to bed. I start back to work next week, and my schedule is way off!
The tongue--ha! I think the busy background actually works -- especially with the selective coloring of the bird. It makes you look more closely at the bird and let's you know he's trying to hide. Really nice capture.
Gorgeous shot - herons are my favourite. :) We just purchased some cottage land and we found a heron in the marshy area on our lake. But no zoom lens so can't even get close to it. I'll have to live through your pics!
And enjoyable, I could look at this on my wall!
